Privacy Information and Policies

Information Collected

General Site Usage This webserver maintains usage logs that may contain personally indentifying information such as IP address. This is information is used in aggragate reports (E.g. To report the number of visitors in a given day.)

Newsletter Subscribers Toxic Free Canada provides a email newsletter service. Our mailing list uses a Confirmed Opt-In sign up process. (also known as double Opt-In)

Subscription requests must be recieved from the subscribers email address and must be confirmed by following a link sent to the subscriber at that address. The date, time, and IP address are recorded when the subscription is confirmed by the subscriber. This subscription process complies with CanSpam and similiar anti-spam legislation.

When a subscriber confirms their subscription they are presented with an optional demographic questionaire. This information is anonymized and is only stored and accessed as aggragate data.

Petitions The personal information you provide when signing our petitions will be provided to the recipient as stated in the petition preamble. Until the petition is delivered we store your personal information in an encrypted format and is only decrypted for delivery to the recipient of the petition. You may be contacted by the recipient of the petition for verification purposes. We can not speak for how your information will be handled by the recipient of the petition. Please research the stated pettion recipient to evaluate their privacy policies.

3rd Parties

Google.com Toxic Free Canada makes use of a web site usage statistics service provided by Google.com. Information similiar to that described above in General Site Usage would be collected and stored by Google.com.

Retention

All data collected by Toxic Free Canada is kept for an indefinite length of time.
